WELCOME TO REGENT FACTS
RegentFacts.com is an official website for The Regent redevelopment and Wintergarden/Hilton Hotel refurbishment proposed by ISPT and Brookfield Multiplex. The project will lead to the reinvigoration of the Brisbane CBD with the introduction of more than 4,000 workers to Brisbane's Queen Street precinct. The Regent will further enhance the visual amenity of the Queen Street Mall and lead to significant improvements for pedestrians in Elizabeth Street.
In September 2008 the Queensland Government endorsed plans by ISPT and Brookfield Multiplex to establish the Regent as the cultural heart and operational centre for cinema and television in Queensland. The developers have undertaken to provide cinemas and office space to the Brisbane International Film Festival, the Pacific Film and Television Commission and the Asia Pacific Screen Awards in a unique arrangement that will position the Regent as a vibrant theatre venue. The revised development scheme provides three state of the art and publicly accessible cinemas and meeting spaces located within the same area of the Regent that contains the current cinemas. The largest cinema will provide seating for 300 with the two smaller venues seating 60.
As industry leaders ISPT and Brookfield Multiplex have a successful history of delivering high quality commercial assets. The Regent development builds on that partnership.
